People are like vapour of water, constantly changing forms and never the same from one moment to the next. We are products of forces long before we were born, and influencers of outcomes in the distant future.
And yet, for all our fluidity, we are also defined by our memories. They shape who we are and how we perceive the world around us, and they are as fragile and fleeting as clouds.
I yearn for a glance, a grimace, a wink, a smile – those small gestures that have the power to shape our memories and define our experiences. But as I pass through this fog of forgetfulness, I feel lost. I cannot remember where I left those eyes that once looked at me so kindly.
